Gregory Bean was influenced in his career choices by many members of his family who served in the military. Their service inspired him to join and he was reassured that he could pursue a well-rounded education without accruing additional debt. He joined the United States Air Force in 2008 as a personnelist, and has continued to serve beyond his required time due to enjoying his work and understanding his impact. His role has allowed him to become an expert in human resources, information technology, multimedia, human resource, and customer support.
Mr. Bean’s service has also allowed him to pursue academic endeavors. He received an Associate of Science in information technology and an Associate in Science in human resource management from the Community College of the Air Force. He earned a Bachelor of Science in human resource management from Wayland Baptist University and has set his sights on receiving an MBA in human resources. In seven years, Mr. Bean will be closer to retiring, and in the meantime, endeavors to continue growing in his military career and expand on his experiences within the Washington D.C. area. In recognition of his service, Mr. Bean has received awards such as Airman of the Quarter, Non-Commissioned Officer of the Quarter and Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year.
